MiniGet

There are three types of tasks you can set up with the lightweight and free application MiniGet: download tasks, BitTorrent tasks, and Magnet tasks. Or to put it in another way, you can use this application to download files and to download torrents. In very little time the data will be downloaded off the web and stored on your PC so that you can access it at your leisure.

And speaking about things that take little time to complete, getting the installation file will also take little time, seeing that it is less than 1MB in size. The same goes about the installation process itself – just run the file you downloaded and click through the setup wizard. You can install MiniGet on anything from Windows 2000 up to Windows 7.

The interface is made up of two panels. The one to the left groups your tasks into three categories: Stopped, Active, and Completed. Select Active, for example, and all your active downloads will be presented in the panel to the right. Above these two panels there’s a bar with buttons for creating a task, starting/pausing/deleting a task, and for accessing the Options menu.

Using MiniGet is a simple 3 step process that goes along like this:
Step 1 – select the type of task you want to set up. You can choose between the following: download task, BitTorrent task, and Magnet task. For the download and Magnet tasks you will have to do nothing more than enter a link and specify where the data will be saved. For BitTorrent task, you have to load a .torrent file.
Step 2 – launch and wait for the download to complete.
Step 3 – once the download completes, open the folder where the data was saved or open the file you downloaded.
